Easter weekend, B and W were with Grammie and Pop's and J was with Nana and Gator, because we were moving, so we decided to celebrate Easter at our new home a weekend late! Although the real meaning of Easter had already past, the Easter bunny was still able to drop by with a few goodies!

Happy 1st Easter sweet, little one!

We even had a traditional Easter dinner on Sunday with Nana and Gator (Grammie and Pop's were not able to make it :( )and they brought a pinata filled with candy and treats! This was the first time the boys were ever told to whack on something until it opened...and boy did they have a blast!!

I think we have decided to make the pinata an Easter tradition!

Since we already had the bats out, we played baseball in our new HUGE backyard...the evening really was magical!

We have eased into our new home so nicely. We love the one story, and are enjoying the large property that it sits on. It's almost as though we didn't skip a beat. Very weird how we drove to same house for over 5 years...went the same way everyday, passed the same houses, waved to the same people...knew the schedules and routes and all of the little ins and outs of our old neighborhood. And now, here we are, 30 minutes North, with a new skip in our steps. It is a fresh start. Out with the old and in with the new!

One last thing to leave you with. Did you know that Brody is 6 years LONG? Wade measured him and told me so. And that next year, he will measure 10 years long. B-man sure is tall!

For the sake of my limited time this week...I figured a quick post would be better than no post at all...since this blog is technically my boys' baby books!

JackJack started crawling...finally!! And boy is he into EVERYTHING! Seriously...he seems to like objects that he is not supposed to have best. He particularly loves anything that Wade is holding...and Wade, being 3 years old, is having a hard time understanding why he has to share with Jack. We will figure this stage out soon enough... :) Jack also said his first word, and now says it all of the time: "Bye!" He has the sweetest little wave to accompany his first word...And, his top teeth finally came through! It has been a busy month of mile stones for our 10 month old! He loves all table food...especially fish, chicken, yogurt and goldfish. I swear, these boys are already eating us out of house and home! He loves to play peek-a-boo and still takes a 3 hour nap in the mornings...life is good with our smallest Harrell!

We are officially moved out of our home in Shalimar...who says moving cannot be fun??
Photobucket
Thank you to everybody who either watched the kiddos or helped us prepare for the movers...it really does take a village!

Wade, Jack and Brody had their annual Easter egg hunt at school last Friday! B and W were able to get in on all of the action, while baby J looked on through the window...so sweet!

Life

Life is all about creating memories, living the memory, talking about the memories and trying to re-create that memory, once you have children of your own...

I remember having family movie night growing up...whether it was a TV show or a movie, I loved it just the same. The whole family, gathered in the family room, all engaged in the same show...

We had movie night last Saturday night with the big boys. Made a huge "bed" on the floor and the 4 of us snuggled in and watched Happy Feet 2. Sweet boys were in heaven...mom and dad on each side and a bowl of popcorn to munch on. They enjoyed it so much, we let them sleep there all night long!

We are moving! We need a larger yard and want a 1 story...to make a long story short, our house sold quickly and we had a very short window to find a rental, that meets our needs and will take 2 large labs. After searching high and low, East and West, North and South, we found the perfect home, that meets all of our needs, in...Crestview. Crest-tucky, the View...call it want you wish, we will be residing there for the next year! The 30 minute commute north will take some getting use to...but we are up for the challenge and excited about starting fresh and all of the adventures ahead!

Thank God for Grandparents, who have gladly watched the boys for 2 weekends while we packed! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Our Shalimar home will always be special to us...all three of our children were brought home to this house, Todd beat cancer in this house, we buried Zekey in this house...it has been filled with laughter, crying babies, talking toddlers, running kiddos....it has been a great home...a home that will always bring us back to the early days of marriage and raising our babies!!

On another note...we have been outside every chance we get. The weather is gorgeous...perfect spring weather with no humidity!!

Even Mr. Bear has joined in on the action...

And the boys are continuing to perfect their spiral:

Sweet Jack is still the happiest, most easy baby in all the land...
Photobucket

And the boys are still highly obsessed with his cuteness...
Photobucket

And the boys are still keeping this Momma on her toes by injuring some body part daily. My boys and their faces...sheesh!

I guess I had better get used to it. Sports and bats and balls and hoops...dirt and stains and sand, filled shoes...cuts and scrapes and tattered looking legs...burps and toots and giggles galore...I am surrounded by boys. Everywhere I look! Thank God they don't mind their Momma hanging around, well, for now anyways!

Pumping those legs

Catching up!

1. Sweet baby boy turned 9 months old on February 26th! At his Dr. Appointment, he weighed in at 19lbs.14 ounces (50th percentile) and measured 28 3/4 inches long (75th percentile)! He is about to crawl any second...rocking on all fours, pulling up on everything and everyone. He still just has the two bottom teeth, but the two top ones are about to poke through! He is repeating sounds, ie. Mama, Dada, Baba...loves to blow spit bubbles, has started waving bye bye and is eating a lot of table foods! He hates to have his clothes or diaper changed and cannot remain still. He is very curious, laid back and extremly happy!  (To compare with his big brothers, check out this blog post from when they turned 9 months! 9 mos)

A few cell phone pics from his 9 month appt...check out what he did to the paper on the table within 3 seconds...ha!

2. We had a collaborative birthday celebration for Nana and Gator...

Notice how B and W are dying laughing in the bottom right picture? I happened to catch their very first experience with helium!! Todd had them rolling on the floor, cracking up!
Photobucket

3. We started a good behavior chart, where the boys receive stickers for, you guessed it, good behavior and in return, they will be able to go to the store and pick out a toy! I am proud to say that they both filled up their sticker charts and they are now the proud owners of spanking new toys!
Photobucket

4. Baby Sal and Miss Sa-ya came by last week, on a yucky, rainy Saturday to visit! We sure enjoyed their visit and cannot wait to do it again soon!
Photobucket

5. What a typical Monday morning at the Harrell house looks like...everybody all packed up and ready to go for the week!

6. Dr Seuss week at school...from Green eggs and ham day, to dressing a as your favorite character, to wacky Wednesday, here are some pics from last weeks festivities!

7. So, I get out of bed the other night around 12:30am to use the restroom, and on my way back to bed, I notice 2 little boys decided to crawl into our bedroom and fell asleep....kind of creeped me out, as I was NOT expecting to find them there, but cute, nonetheless! (And for some reason, Wade looks so much bigger than Brody, but it is just the angle of the cell picture...)

And while the other 2 are sneaking into Mommy and Daddys bedroom at night, the littlest Harrell is all safe and snug in his crib...
