We drove over to Tallahassee yesterday...again...for cousin/nephew Caden's baptism! The service was wonderful and after he was baptised, the Pastor carried Caden up and down the aisle while the congregation sang Jesus Loves Me. Grammie and Pop's drove over for the baptism and Allie's Mom Andie, sister Jennifer and Caden's cousin Kaley drove up from South FL. We had a large group! Todd is Caden's Godfather...very special!

It was the first time that the boys have ever stayed in a hotel! Here is B-man with a ton of toys! The boys loved Caden's cool car walker!
Brody liked it so much he sucked on the steering wheel!Grammie and B-manUncle Scott and Wade
Caden's 5 year old cousin Kaley was "sweetly obsessed" with all of the babies. She wanted to feed them, change them, hold them, bathe them, etc...she actually was a huge help! I asked her is she wanted to come home with me and she said, "Only until Tuesday and then your husband can bring me home"!! Little does she know that she lives 7 hours away...hehe
We ate brunch together and then the girls and ALL of the kids headed out to see Extreme Makeover Home Edition (we picked up Elizabeth on the way)! The show was in Tallahassee this weekend, so we packed up the strollers and the diaper bags and all of the kids, and rode the shuttle to see all of the commotion! Pretty neat how all of the different construction companies are working together for this one cause, pro bono at that! We were not able to see Ty, but Paige showed up to interview a local family...Here are some pics that Elizabeth took!

This is what I arrive to when I walk in the door after work! Our Nanny, Ms. Margaret loves the boys with all of her heart. She has them on her prayer list at church, sings to them, dances with them to jazz, is teaching them Spanish and spoils them all day long with tons of love!! We are so LUCKY!! 6 month check up!

Just some quick stats of the boys at 6 months old (and Mommy's and Daddy's for fun too!)...

TODD 6 months old stats (picture is at 7 weeks)
18 pounds 0 ounces (between 50th & 75th percentiles for weight)
27 inches long (between 25th & 50th percentiles for height)

CARLY 6 months old stats and pic
16 pounds 9 ounces (between 25th and 50th percentiles for weight)
29 1/2 inches long (above 95th percentile for height)
BRODY 6 months old stats and pic
18 pounds 9 ounces (75th percentile for weight)
26 1/2 inches long (50th percentile for height)
Head 17. 75 inches around (75th percentile)

WADE 6 months old stats and pic
17 pounds 9 ounces (50th percentile for weight)
27 1/2 inches long (90th percentile for height!!!!)
Head 17.50 inches around (between 50th and 75th percentiles)

As you can see, Wade has not only caught up, but surpassed B-man in height. The boys are perfect....Dr. Keefe said so herself!! They were all smiles at their check up, smiling, cooing and sitting up like big boys! You should have seen the paper that they roll across the table when the boys were finished with it! It was shredded and torn and they had pieces stuck to their heads and in their mouths...it was hilarious!! I, OF COURSE, left the camera at home, because I would have captured some awesome pics. They handled all of their shots like champs and have pretty band-aids to prove it.

Teeth, hearts and Motrin

We had a wonderful weekend! The boys turned 6 months old on Friday, the Garber's came over from Tallahassee with their 15 month old Cole, we celebrated Brody and Wade's first Valentine's Day and...drum roll..................................WADE CUT HIS FIRST TOOTH!!!! It is his bottom right one and he has been a trooper. A little fussy and 1 sleepless night, but nothin' a little Motrin won't cure!

We realized on V-Day that we did not have any Valentine outfits or bibs for any of the boys, so we dressed them in red onesies and jeans...and started shooting away! Not the best pics, but you get the idea.

Wade's first tooth. I know. I know. You can't see a thing yet in this pic, but I promise it is there! More pics to come :)Ganty Lowie sent the boys the neatest toys for Valentine's Day. I highly recommend them for 6 month olds! Check them out at http://store.manhattantoy.com/

My little loves...

Thursday, February 12, 2009

Dear Brody and Wade,

Tomorrow, you boys will turn 6 months old! I can hardly believe it, but you guys are half a year old! You both are nestled soundly in your cribs right now....Wade, with a paci in hand and Brody with your hiney up in the air...

You both are healthy and strong and happy. You guys sit up by yourselves for short periods of time and there is constant rolling over from back onto tummies, and lots of pushing up onto your little hands and knees. You both do little stomach crunches when you are lying on your backs -and you guys are straining to sit up to see what's going on. Talk about grabbing at everything - nothing that is within two feet of you two, that isn't nailed down, is no longer safe - and everything that you successfully grab goes directly into those mouths. You guys still have no teeth and Wade, still no hair! Bath time is still the best part of the day and you guys are craving attention and figuring out ways to get it :)

The laughs and squeals and silly noises now fill our once quiet home. You both are trying out new noises all the time now...lots of Mmmmms, Ddddddssss and Bbbbbbssssss. Wade, you always have a hand or fist or foot in your mouth and Brody, you love blowing spit bubbles. Curiosity seems to take over the majority of the day and frustration shows up whenever toys are taken away or dropped or you guys cannot reach something. Your little personalities are really starting to shine through!

I told you boys this the other day, but I should tell you again now, because I know you guys won't remember what I said (and you both don't understand the words yet anyway): I love you sweet peas more than anything in this world. I will always love you both. Your smiles will always make me happy. I promise.

Love, Mom

PS. You guys are already eating us out of house and home! Look what you polished off tonight for dinner...2 banana tubs and 2 squash tubs, plus 6 ounces of formula before bed!
My sweet Wade My sweet BrodyTheir feet are their newest obsession...I have to make sure to wash those little tootsies squeaky clean, because the feet go directly into the mouth...all of the time.

Quads

I packed up the suburban and headed to Tallahassee with Wade and Brody to visit our other twin friends, Thomas and Gracie...and their Mom Christie! We lived the life of "Quadruplets" for 24 hours and boy was it chaotic at times! Just going anywhere around town required two vehicles...and talk about the stares and the oohhs and aahhs of people when 2 sets of baby twins strolled past them! During our short visit, Elizabeth and Cole dropped over to say hello and Allie and Caden met us at Toys R' Us. We packed a lot in to our short visit!! Here are some pics from Friday and Saturday...
