I am so type A, that because I have fallen so far behind on my blog and I cannot ever get caught up, I kept telling myself that I could not write a new post until I went back and filled in the missing gaps.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

So, yes, I will be skipping the Christmas season, basketball, the start of baseball, moving back into our Shalimar home, potty training sweet J-Bird and a whole lot of life.

But, I am starting fresh....with a new blog. If you would like to continue reading about our little life, please bookmark our new blog site: The Harrell Boys Part 2

I was on the phone last night, explaining my day to my Mother in Law, and we were both dying towards the end of the conversation, as my days are typically filled with lots of Murphy's Law related situations. Pretty much from sun up to sun down. And during sleeping hours, as well. Did I mention I am always tired?

I will try my absolute hardest to make a better effort at blogging again...but the truth is, I am not sure how. There is just no time left at the end of the day...maybe once the holidays are over and we are back to some normalcy...whatever that might be...

So, to get caught up...From Turkey Day until now.

Without further ado:

Headed East to Macclenny for our annual Thanksgiving break spent at Grandmother's house! We always have the absolute best time...We started off the break with a delicious crab and shrimp boil that Pop's and Donna brought over from PCB and Uncle Frank cooked. There must have been at least 20 people there from the Taylor side of the family! It would not Thanksgiving if we didn't spend time preparing some of the food ahead of time...The boys really enjoyed helping me make the banana pudding and helping Aunt Marilyn make pancakes!

Andy and Marilyn's grandchildren live across the country, and they miss them terribly, so they really enjoy spoiling our kiddos with tons of love, cuddles, arts and crafts, games, and of course, disc guns! The entire family had a blast with these...

Well, then we tried to capture cute family photos. As you can see, this did not go very well!

We did manage to capture a few decent ones along the way...

The of course, there was the meal! And what a feast it was! Just a little tip from the kitchen of Uncle Andy...when baking a ham, spread orange marmalade on it...get out of town. We all swore it was the very best ham we have ever eaten!

Must run off the food after eating...what better than a good game of football with Pop's and Dad...

The weather was perfect, the food was delicious and the company was even better...it was a perfect day!

Friday afternoon, we loaded up the kiddos and headed to St. Augustine to explore and to see the Night of Lights. The literally light up the entire city...all of the shops and houses and cobblestone walkways...the boats and bridges and buildings. It was quite spectacular! Before the day gave way and the sun went down, we headed out to the Fort Mantanzas and took a long walk all over the nature trails. We opted out of the boat tour to the actual Fort, because it was pretty chilly...the boys loved being able to run freely! The trees were breathtaking and the whole place was serene. You could definitely hear the Harrell clan moving about...

And, the beautiful sunset while crossing over the drawbridge and a glimpse into the city all lit up!

We also made gingerbread houses with Pop's, Donna and Grandmother! Wade used every single peppermint and had them lined up, just so. Brody had every single type of candy, plastered all over the house and Jack ate most of his! I even think Louie got in on the action!!

Thank you all for another wonderful Thanksgiving...

When we arrived back home, Pete the Elf was back from The North Pole! He has been up to some crazy shenanigans since he arrived...

And so has this little crazy dude...he is in full terrible twos mode...defiant and testing and over the top. But man, is he edible. I could kiss him all day long!

Oh, and then there was a trip to the ER for a pulled groin muscle, a playground vs. teeth/gums accident and a self inflicted powered screwdriver to the cheekbone incident...all in a weekend for the Harrell boys! I mean, seriously. I am not going to make it through their teenage years.

And, we started basketball! Game One...

First game was a success!! Go Sharks!

We put up a 12 foot Christmas tree...I am in love and our house smells so delicious!

And we were finally able to display the beautiful tree skirt that my mom made for us! Isn't it all so beautiful?

We sent out our annual Christmas card...

The weather dipped into the 20's (temporarily) and I was blessed to enjoy a girls day/overnight trip with some pretty special ladies...we shopped and ate and drank and laughed!!

We were disciplined at home for our poor decision making at school...Brody is posted in this particular picture, but Wade and Jack had a tough beginning to the week, as well. Maybe it is all of the Christmas excitement? Still, no excuse for not minding their teachers. Brody atually told on himself on the way home from school that day. He said, "I had to sit out today two times...". He explained what he did and we explained to him that we were proud of him for telling us the truth. It is tough being a parent at times! I will forever cherish these pics...

We visited Santa and had jammie day at school!

And made red velvet cupcakes with applesauce instead of oil and used a silicone muffin pan where the holes are shaped like flowers...so the cupcakes came out rounded on the top and the bottom and had the texture of a wet sponge. Yuck...

And last, but not least, we had our 2nd basketball game last night! Both boys played great defense and their team won, again! Go Sharks! I had my camera on the wrong setting, so the pics are horrible and blurry :(

And, a certain someone threw his shoe out the window...and watched the game with one shoe on and one shoe off. I do not think one person even noticed! Come to find he had thrown it out in our own driveway before we left for the game, thank goodness. Little stinker.

So, there ya have it. The highlights from our past month. Keep the Christmas cards a coming and have a very Merry Christmas!!

Came across this on Facebook and really liked it...(copied from a blog called Diapers & Daisies to a post written back in May called 28 Rules for Fathers of Sons.)
28 Rules for Fathers of Sons

1. Love his Mother. He will learn to love like you love, and hate like you hate. So choose love for both of you. Devote yourself to it. Love with your whole heart and express that love each and every day. Then, someday down the road, you will see the way he loves his own wife, and know that you played a part in that.

2. Let him drive. Every child remembers the first time they drove on daddy’s lap. For that one moment, he will believe that he is just. like. you.

3. Teach him to be picky. Especially when it comes to women and burgers. Teach him to never settle.

4. Take him to a ball game. There is something about sharing a day of hot dogs, sunshine and baseball with your father.

5. Love with Bravery. Boys have this preconceived notion that they have to be tough. When he is young, he will express his love fully and innocently. As he grows, he will hide his feelings and wipe off kisses. Teach him to be a man who rubs them in instead. It takes courage for a man to show love: teach him to be courageous.

6. Talk about sex. Sometimes, boys need to know that all men are created equal.

7. Teach him to be a man’s man. Show him how to be brave and tough around the guys. Then, remind him on the ride home that it is okay to cry.

8. Share secrets together. Communicate. Talk. Talk about anything. Let him tell you about girls, friends, school. Listen. Ask questions. Share dreams, hopes, concerns. He is not only your son, you are not only his father. Be his friend too.

9. Teach him manners. Because sometimes you have to be his father, not just his friend. The world is a happier place when made up of polite words and smiles.

10. Teach him when to stand-up and when to walk away. He should know that he doesn’t have to throw punches to prove he is right. He may not always be right. Make sure he knows how to demand respect- he is worthy of it. It does not mean he has to fight back with fists or words, because sometimes you say more with silence.

11. Teach him to choose his battles. Make sure he knows which battles are worth fighting- like for family or his favorite baseball team. Remind him that people can be mean and nasty because of jealousy, or other personal reasons. Help him to understand when to shut his mouth and walk-away. Teach him to be the bigger better person.

12. Let him dance in tighty whiteys. Dance alongside him in yours. Teach him that there are moments when it is okay to be absolutely ridiculous.

13. Share music. Introduce him to the classics and learn the words to the not-so-classics. Create a rock band with wooden instruments, share your earphones, and blast Pink Floyd in the car. Create a soundtrack to your lives together.

14. Let him win. Sometimes he needs to know that big things are possible.

15. Teach him about family. Let him know family is always worth fighting for. Family is always worth standing up for. At the end of the day, he has you to fall back on, and pray to God that you will have him.

16. Father him. Being a father—to him—is undoubtedly one of your greatest accomplishments. Share with him the joys of fatherhood, so one day he will want to be a father too. Remind him over and over again with words and kisses that no one will ever love him like you love him.

17. Listen to him now. If you don’t listen to the little things now, he won’t share the big things later.

18. Let him try on your shoes. Even if they are old and smelly. Let him slip his little feet in and watch him as he hopes like hell that someday he can fill them. He will fill them.

19. Give him bear hugs. The kind that squeezes his insides and make him giggle. The kind of hug only a daddy can give.

20. Give him baths. Because Mom can’t do everything damnit.

21. Teach him how to pee standing up. Let him pee outside- such is the joy of being a man. Mom cannot teach this talent, so someone has to.

22. Know the answers. He will assume you do. If you don’t know them, pretend you do and look them up later.

23. Toss him around. Because little boys love seeing the strength of their father. Throw him up in the air, so that he knows you will always be there to catch him on his way down.

24. Ask his mother. He will come to you with questions that he won’t always want to ask his mother, about girls and about love. Ask her anyway, she will know the answers.

25. Love him like you would love a daughter. Little girls are not the only ones who need hugs and kisses. Love is the color yellow of emotions. It is both happy and gender neutral.

26. Grow a big belly. Because every child should get the chance to rest their head on the absolute softest pillow ever. Daddy’s belly is the best place to land.

27. Don’t say, do. American inventor Charles F. Kettering once said, “every father should remember that one day his son will follow his example instead of his advice.” Be a good one.

28. Be his hero. You are anyway. To him, you have the strength of Batman, the speed of Spiderman and the brain of Ironman. Don’t disappointment. Prove to him that Daddy’s are the biggest heroes of all. Only Daddy’s can save the day.

Saturday morning, we attended the annual Alzheimer's Walk, and this year, Brody and Wade helped to register the runners and pass out t-shirts! What a great cause...

That afternoon, we headed over to the Laird's house to watch football and welcome Rich back home! Another evening, filled with the chaos of rambunctious little ones, filling every square inch of a house with giggles and mischief.

Sweet Rylee and Jack, reunited!/ Trying to encourage some down time with a movie. You can imagine our plan didn't work out so well..

Sunday morning, we loaded up the kids and headed to Tallahassee to meet Allie and the kids at The Painted Pony...We rode horses (again, everyone but Jack...), explored the farm, played with the animals, ate ice cream and got to help paint the horse!

Although Jack didn't want to partake in the horseback riding activity, he found a lot of others ways to keep himself busy, as well as entertaining others! Whew!

We arrived in 4 sperate vehicles...that is what it took to get 9 kids(6yrs old and under) and 5 adults(who should have been drinking...) to Holland Farms! The kids had an absolute ball and the parents were exhausted. Wheww! Kelly was the one one who had her husband with her...the rest of ours were at the FSU/Miami game! The kiddos were filled with so much energy, thank goodness they had huge areas to run and yell!

We rode horses(everyone but Jack, who would not even get close to a horse...), zipped down the zip line, played in the corn box, went on a ahyride, slid down the double hill slide, ate boiled peanuts and slurped blue and red icee's. It was a wonderful day! Can you tell from their shirts that it was gameday?

Same Patch...different year! This is our 6th year coming to the same pumpkin patch, with one exception. We were not able to come until Oct 30th this year, and there were barely any pumpkins left. It was kind of funny, but the boys still had fun and memories were made and our tradition was followed!

We decided to have a low key Halloween this year, and I am so glad we did. We trick-or-treated in our own neighborhood, for the very first time since the kids have been born! We took our time, going from house to house, soaking up all of the little moments that tend to get lost in a big crowd of people. (How Jack was always 2 steps behind...his little boxer cape and candy bag, dragging behind him...How at first they were all nervous to ask for the candy, but by the end, they were bolting across the yards...How Brody and Wade held Jack's hand, shared their candy with him and introduced him to all that would come near. They are such proud big brothers!) To me, Halloween is the epitome of childhood. I am cherishing these innocent years! I will always remember marking the days off my calendar in anticipation of the exciting day of parties, costumes, and loads of candy. One of my favorite memories is dumping my overflowing bag of candy onto the floor and trading with my friends!

We were finally forced inside by the rain...and after quick baths and showers, we poured through our loot!

I look forward to this event each year....the annual Halloween Party at their school! This is an event that parents, grandparents, friends, siblings, etc...all come out for. Each class has its own time to shine: 1st the teacher is announced, then each child, individually, then the whole class performs a song for the crowd!

This year, Wade was the first one out...he was so uncomfortable up there on stage for the whole crowd to see...barely cracked a smile. But, as soon as he jumped off stage, he was all good! Introducing SuperMan Wade!

Next up was our spotlight lover, Navy Seal B-man! He loved being on stage, grinning from ear to ear. (Todd nearly had a heart attack when Brody debuted his entire costume...said he looked more like a terroist. The Black hood went into the garbage immediately...hehehe)

Last, but not least, was Boxer Jack Jack! He played the part...stared the crowd down, from right to left, and even threw his hands on his hips at the end, for good measure! He rocked it!

After the Halloween Parade, we visited with Nanny and Gator, grabbed snacks and took pics with our friends, and then we literally bolted out the door, cause Mommy and Daddy were hitting the road for Tallahassee!! Todd and I were able to spend a child-free weekend, attend the Bobby Bowden Day and FSU v. NC State game and hit the town with some dear friends. Thank you Nanny and Gator/ Pop's and Donna for spoiling our little crew...we gladly welcomed the break!

The Harrell's and The Wood's teamed up together at the Annual Kid's Destin Fishing Rodeo, Rootin'Tootin' Rodeo Round-up mini-tourney...and all that we managed to catch was a seagull. I am not kidding.

First up...the kids had a blast, even if we never caught a fish...

I kid you not, Todd actually "caught" a seagull. His little wing tip got wound up in the line. He was able to reel him in and bystanders cut the line away and he flew off, unscathed. Poor Todd. When he saw that his line was pulling, and he looked over the edge, he muttered, "Oh no....". To add to the excitement, someone down the way ended up hooking a sea turtle...had to slowly guide it to the end of the pier, where a guy was able to remove the hook from his poor mouth, and he swam off, unharmed, as well...So, = Fish-0/ Random Animals-2

The boys school was closed on Monday for Columbus Day, so we loaded up the family and headed over to Great Grandmothers house for some R & R...

They literally played on our chalk raceway that I made for them one morning for hours and hours on end. It provided the best entertainment, for the kids and the adults!
I am incredibly grateful for their little team, allowing Jack to sit with them on the sidelines and "participate" in end of game talks with Coach Dave. Coach Dave encourages him to be involved as much as possible...be still my heart...
Saturday Afternoon:
After a quick bite to eat, we headed to Anthony's 4th birthday party! Anthony is a little friend from school...they had a blast in the bounce house...and took turns swinging at a pinata!

Waiting very patiently...

This past weekend...
We were all prepared to be stuck inside all weekend from Tropical Storm/Hurricane Karen...that only brought us rain on Sunday!! The storm ended up hunkering down in the Gulf...which can make the storm fall apart or gain strength. Thank goodness it fell apart and we were able to just continue on...

We took Jack to his first movie with The Wood Family(Jack lasted about 45 minutes into the movie, and then he had enough. I didn't mind...we walked around the Common's, watched the fish at Bass Pro and ran in and out of stores, dodging the rain storms) and I captured a sweet moment: an after bath, impromtu, nighttime prayer pic :)

We did arts and crafts, played with blocks, legos, made forts and watched movies...enjoyed family time!
Oh Jack. Jack Jack. Jick. The Jickers. Jackie or Jack-E. Ricky Ticky. You, my baby, are still nuts. You are always “coming in hot” and extremely loud. When we go over bridges, you scream, “MAMA….LOOK! BOATS!!! WATEY!!! MAMA LOOK! I LOVE BOATS! MAMA. MAMA. ARE YOU LOOKING? I LIKE BOATS!!” (You still like to call water, ‘watey’, and we do not correct you, as we should, because it is just so darn cute!) You live your life in all caps. That pretty much sums you up. You giggle with all of your heart, without any care in the world. I am thankful for those giggles which fill our home and my heart with joy. I wish that I could keep you little for forever…but you are growing and learning, faster than I can keep up. Right now you are a beautiful mix of big boy and baby, all wrapped up in out of control curls and curious eyes. You love to sing songs, like to have three different snacks available at all times, and prefer to not ever change your clothes. Your day has not started until you have on a full outfit…socks, shoes and your hat are most important. You will only wear your straggly, old grey New Balances and you flat out refuse to wear a collared shirt. I finally said to heck with it and I let you pick out your own clothing each day. I love how your fingernails are full of dirt from your daily adventures and your shirts are usually colored with a mixture of dirt and food. When in a crowd, you shove your whole hand in your mouth, as you are cautious and not sure, and take quite a while to warm up to people. I think you are most happy when you are playing an activity, sport or whatever with your older brothers. You think you are five and even tell people when they ask you how old you are. And, you are the BOSS. Again, you think you are. And, most of the time, you are. Darlin’….like I have said before, you have brought us to levels of love and exhaustion and patience that we never knew existed. Thank you for keeping us on our toes…you are the one that will keep us forever young, sweet Jack-E!
WAH at 5 years, 1 month...
Wade…sweet boy Wade. You are as sensitive as they come and make this Momma feel so loved. You love to curl up and still fit perfectly on my lap and chest. You are a Momma’s boy, through and through. You are already insanely stubborn…if you do not want to do something, you will not do it. Period. You love to figure things out and enjoy a challenge. You love all ‘techy’ devices and have been caught numerous times, sneaking your Nook under your covers or in your brothers tent, when you have been on restriction from it You can build anything and everything out of Lego’s, that is, before Jack comes up and swipes a creation you just spent forever making. He always takes your things, by the way…You play alone, so well, and need time apart from our crazy family. And you give the sweetest hugs. At first you hesitate, waiting, waiting, waiting to feel safe enough and then your eyes light up and you run full speed ahead. You spring-jump-leap-pounce-pummel-into me until I sink back on the floor from the sudden weight of you. There is no half way. Parenting you has always been like this. You love all animals and insects and could study them for hours. You are hesitant and cautious and somewhat shy (but do not ever call him shy in front of him or his Daddy will backhand you…kidding…kind of), but once you feel comfortable, you give it all you have got. You are intelligent, yet gullible. You are loving, yet a loner at times. You are wild and free, yet timid and reserved. You are OUR Wade and I wouldn’t trade a second with you for anything…thank you for making us change our perspective on things, sweet Punky!
BLH at 5 years, 1 month...
Brody…the B. BB. B-man. You are the sunshine in my life…always greeting me with a smile, but your little temper is shining through. You love to be the center of attention and are a real pleaser. You are easy going, roll with the punches and love to have a good time. You LOVE to be around lots of people, still love your bear and love watching “challenge shows” with Daddy. You get frustrated easily, but you are incredibly quick to turn your frown around, into a huge, contagious grin. You are spunky, hilarious and make the funniest, most expressive faces. You are determined to play every sport and be the best at all of them. I think you will excel in baseball…you could spend hours outside, with Daddy sitting on his bucket, practicing over and over and over again. You are most happy when we are proud of you and do not like to disappoint adults. You are a lover of life, wringing out every last drop before your sweet, big ol’ head hits the pillow each night. You have really taken a great interest in music...you have always loved it, but have recently really gotten into it. You are always telling me to turn up the radio or begging to listen to music through our headphones. You are always inviting people to our house and on every outing we have planned. You love to be surrounded by family and friends! You could spend every single day swimming and love all things water. You dive head first into everything you do and ask questions later. You are mischievous, but innocent. You are always happy, but cry easily and roll your eyes often. You love to snuggle, wrestle, dance, sing, twirl, jump, run, glide and swim…You do not give up and do everything in your power to be first. I can always count on you to lift me up when skies are grey…I love you to infinity, sweet BB!
B-man's second dentist visit...no cavities!! (Wade...well, he kinda opted out this time. Takes after his Daddy and dislikes the dentist. Got up in the chair and got right back out. I am going to make him an appointment at a pediatric dentist and see if that will help. Thank goodness he brushes twice a day and loves to do mouthwash!)
Yay Brody!!
And, bathtime shenanigans. You know, when you take a pic, and you realize you just captured something really good? Yeah, that was one of these moments. This pics screams childhood to me...Captures their boyhood...still innocent and goofy and not a care in the world. Too bad I didn't take this with my Nikon!!

Saturday was rainy and dreary, all day long. Cooped up kiddos still need that release of energy, so we went bowling with the Wood family (surprise, surprise....these Harrell/Wood adventures are a blast)! I think this is one activity that the children and adults have the same amount of fun…Helen Back pizza, cold beer, arcade games and rolling a ball to knock down pins. I highly recommend this activity for ALL ages! :)

It is always good to warm up your bowling arms with a good game of Air Hockey:

And to stay loose with basketball, driving cars and jet skiing:

A VERY rare sighting of Jack without his hat. He must of had too much Sprite. My sweet baby boy and his out of control, curly hair.

And then, the main event. It was filled with lot's of dancing and high fives and sneaking in bites of pizza between throwing strikes.

Thank you Drew, Stacey, Grason and Cooper for coming up North to the Tuck. It's always an adventure!!!!

As soon as we walked in the door, I made the boys wash away all of the germs from the bowling alley...just think about it...(B-man opted to take a shower, in peace. Can't say I blame him.)

We are thrilled to have signed up Brody and Wade with the Destin soccer league this season. They are incredibly organized, everyone is friendly and Coach Dave is great with the kiddos! For the league that they are in, there are no goalies...makes it more accesible for the kids to actually score goals and learn to dribble up and down the field. The actual field is smaller than the FWB fields and the game is only 4 quarters, each 5 lasting minutes. Perfect for kiddos that have attention spans of flies. :) Their team, the Destin Dolphins (Wood and Associates) consists 10 kids...5 of which are best buds! So cute watching them play together!

The honorary team members...Jack and Emery! They even let Jack sit on the bench with them during the whole game...he even warmed up with them...so sweet! Emery was having a hard time keeping that bow in place...hahaha

Both boys are having a ball on the field...Brody is still incredibly enthusiastic and Wade is showing so much more spirit, more engaged and more outgoing. This team is a lot more structured...just what the Harrell boys need...

Last week, we had Open House at the boys Preschool. This is the last year our 2 big boys will be at the school that they have been at since they were 16 months old!! Todd opted to stay at home each night, with the sibling who didn't have the open house, so I could spend that special time each night with the boys. Thank you T!

Jack's open house was pretty calm...we discussed their daily routine, sang songs, talked about the importance of centers and learning through play...It was wonderful! I was not able to take many pictures of Jack during circle time or while he was showing me around his classroom because he demanded my full attention :)

With Wade and Brody's open house, I was able to hang in the background, while they demonstrated their daily routine...and watched how their little personalities navigated them to opposite directions of their classroom. The counted, by 10's, to 100...they showed me what the difference is between absorb and repel...they walked me to each and every center and even had me do a painting with a cork craft... It was a special time for me!

Typically, when we arrive home on a work/school day, it is pretty chaotic. Dinner is being prepped, laundry is started/folded/switched, demands are being made, whines are being heard and seem amplified, dogs need to be fed, shoes need to be tied…all within the first 30 minutes. Typically, both Todd and get frustrated or agitated…probably adding to the demands and whines we are hearing from our children. They haven’t seen us all day and want (need) our attention.

Thankfully, we have learned, over a long road, that what seems to work best for our little clan is to divide and conquer. One of us takes the boys outside to ride bikes or practice baseball (typically Todd), while the other one cooks…

One of my favorite times of the day ends up being when we all sit down at the table…but, that happiness seems to fade quickly when someone immediately states how they “do not like what is on my plate” or “he has the cup/fork/plate I wanted” or how they all seem to get up 15 million times throughout the meal, to go potty or dance or run or skip or pout. Life with 3 boys, 5 and under will make you keep tequila in your freezer. Alas, we continue our nightly ritual of <strike>struggling</strike> bonding over dinner.

A few shots of practicing with Daddy...

Super excited about our new smoothies we are making for the (almost) entire family. Purchased a blender that gets the job done...literally blends and crushes everything you put in it, within a matter of seconds. Brody and Jack have no idea all of the goodness they are ingesting...sneaky little chef, I am!! Just wish that Wade wasn't so picky :( He will not even try a sip. I will keep offering, in the hopes that maybe, just maybe, one day he will surprise us and take a sip. Baby steps...

Our typical smoothie consists of all organic ingredients:
100% antioxidant juice blend
ice
cold milled flax seed
chia seeds
coconut oil
blue agave
mixture of fruits...typically frozen bluberries, frozen strawberries and a banana
kale
greek, vanilla bean yogurt
The day finally came...the day Todd has been waiting on since he found out we were having twin boys...we took Brody and Wade to their first FSU football game! My Mom graciously watched JackJack for us...thank you Mom!! So, after dropping him off, filling up the cooler and the tank with gas, we set out towards Tally for the FSU v. Nevada game.

We drove them all through campus, showing off where Daddy played baseball, where Mommys sorority house was, the fountain, my old freshman dorm, the college of business...wow, the memories came flooding back! Watching all of the frat boys and the dolled up sorority girls, made me chuckle and realize just how old we really are. We used to be those young, not a care in the world "students". They have been tailgaiting since Thursday night and will continue until their heads hit the pillow in the early Sunday morning hours...ahhh...college.

Every game I have attended since college, we have always had a parking pass, University Club tix or Grill seats. This past weekend we rolled into town, in our mini van....sigh....parked behind the Bank of America and met up with the Wood family! We bought the boys new hats/visors and new footballs and we were all set!

Teaching them the importance of tailgaiting at a young age.

We had such a great time with the Wood clan, as always!! The boys lasted until the end of the 3rd quarter. Pretty good, considering it was 150 degrees outside and a sauna in the stadium...this Momma does not do well in the heat :) The boys asked immediately upon leaving Tallahassee, when the next game was.
You’ve got to fight, fight, fight, for FSU
You’ve got to scalp ‘em Seminoles;
You’ve got to win, win, win, win win this game
And roll on down and make those goals
For FSU is on the warpath now,
and at the battle’s end she’s great
So fight, fight, fight, fight to victory,
our Seminoles from Florida State.

Thank you again Nanny and Gator for spoiling the youngest. We have a rule...that you have to be 5 to enter through the gates of Doak. So, thank goodness Jack loves spending time with y'all!! (Side note...My mom has always been 'Nana'...ever since the twins were born. Well, around a year ago, they started calling her Nanny...so Nanny it is!)

Nanny just became a certified Red Cross swim instructor, so she used her newly aquired skills on the perfect candidate...Jack! (She is working on teaching him how to float)

Before she realized it, they had ended up spending 3+ hours in the pool! Little dude was slap wore out!

After church Sunday morning, we spent a good 1/2 hour washing off all of the love bugs from our trip back and forth to Tallahassee on I-10. They are out in full effect and are swarming our every move. I love how the boys think that everyday chores are fun and exciting...they actually beg to help vacuum, sort laundry, etc...They will learn the truth soon enough. Might as well take FULL advantage of the cheap, whine-less help while we can.

Later that evening, the house was strangely quiet. I finally found all 4 guys...heads together, building legos. Can you imagine if we would have had 3 girls, just how different this very picture would be?? hehe

Whoa...we have been busy!! Trying to fit in as much summer as we possibly can, before daylight shines less and less and the cold forces us indoors. I will walk you through our jam packed last 2 weeks of summer!

We have spent a lot of time at the beach, where the water color finally turned back to the emerald green/blue waters that we are used to...

And playing with their toys...Wade was in heaven, wearing Grayson's Bumblebee costume and Brody loves, loves, loves music...so they were extremely content...

And at the Tuckey pool...Jack has absolutely no fear and wants to jump "Again!" and "Again!", with or without his floatie.
We have finally found a church that feels like home. The message seems to speak directly to us each week and they have a great children's/youth program...win win!

And spent the last day of the season at Big Kahuna's celebrating Labor Day!
