Poor little JackJack...he got his first real "boo boo" yesterday...darn near broke my heart!! Was going full speed ahead and a crate of toys got in his way. (Sorry about the poor quality of the cell pics)

This was last night before bed...he was trying to smile and his big ol' fat lip was in the way :(

And this was taken this morning when he arrived at school. It literally took my breath away...

Saturday Mornin' Shenanigans

Daddy scored a ticket to the FSU v. Clemson game at the last minute, so it was just Momma and the boys on Saturday...

While I was puting J down for his morning nap, the boys got themselves dressed and I found them in the backyard, playing alligator catchers. Quite the imagination 4 year old's have!

Miller and Buckley supervised...

They played for hours in the backyard, while J napped and I did my 80th load of laundry for the day :)

Sweet JDH has been on the verge of cutting 4 teeth, subsequently, extra saliva = runny poops = nasty diaper rash, going on 9 days and counting. I decided to give his hiney some fresh air and let him roam diaper free outside... Well, the big boys were not going to pass up an opportunity to be naked either!!

Photobucket

They were even able to enjoy their lunch outside...how wonderful to be a child and not have a care in the world...

Swimming at dusk

Swimming at dusk just might be my favorite time to take a dip. Not another person at the pool last night but me and my big boys. I even grabbed a bottle of shampoo on my way out the door and threw it into the pool bag and they took their "showers" outside, while the sun was setting!

Love the natural light that dusk offers as well...

Is it bed time yet?

Do you ever have one of those days? Yeah...those days, were you wake up, counting down the minutes until bedtime? Well...we had one of those nights last night. Now, looking back, it was rather comical...

All within a few hours...

I opened the frig and out came a Tupperware with just cooked teriyaki veggies. Splat...all over the floor, frig and my feet.

Skip ahead 1/2 hour...Todd is making a turkey and cheese sandwich, with big slices of juicy tomatoes on the stove, and I still have no idea what exactly happened, but the sandwich ended up on the floor. The spatula is now broken and Todd might still be hungry. What's another mess to clean up at this point?

Skip ahead 1/2 hour...Brody requested to go to bed at 7p...(by the way, I do not think ANY of our children have ever requested to actually go to bed, just saying.) OK, staying on point...and they still sleep in pullups, that we call "just in cases" and since B was not feeling well and dragging, Todd was helping him get his jammies on. As he was pulling up his just in case, he just started peeing. Right there in his room. Thank God none got on the floor, but still, another mess to clean up. This one not on the floor, but on a child. And this is a child that has not had an "awake" accident in over a year.

Skip ahead 1/2 hour...Wade comes running out of the bathroom...Mom! Dad! "The toilet has a BIG LEAK!" Come to find out it overflowed with all of it's nasty goodness...5 towels and some bleach, that too, was now cleaned up.

This was all on top of 2 kiddos out of school, B with a low grade fever and a cough and J with a diaper rash that just won't quit. Todd's TV went out, again, and my day at work was not good. It ain't always rainbows and butterflies.

This TV from our kitchen is not the TV Todd had in mind for football season. Hehehehehe:

Bug Catching

Saturday morning was spent catching centipedes with their Grammie. (At least she has 1 granddaughter to put bows on!!)

Photobucket

At one point, Wade had 8 little worms in his hands. Brody kept dropping his and I think Jack tried to eat one. We decided it was time to go back inside at that point...

After we showered the sand off, we hung out under the pavilion, enjoying the gorgeous day. The big boys decided to sit at different tables...claimed they wanted their space :)

Don't let this sweet face fool you!

Littlest man has been acting like a maniac!!

He is a total bruiser and full speed ahead at all times. But...He grins and laughs and hugs.

He head butts, pinches and bites. But...He blows kisses, snuggles and loves.

He slams and throws and bangs. But...He listens, obeys and pleases.

He drives his trucks on the walls and windows and climbs out of the tub. But...He helps clean, loves to be read to and still fits perfectly in the crook of my neck.

He runs and teases and tests. But...My youngest...my baby...he brings me WAY more joy than anything else, he is just keeping me on my toes!

Sweet boy, we are continuing to guide you and help you make the right choices!

How did my babies turn into big 4 year old's? I mean, seriously, they are pretty much self sufficient...While they might look alike and be referred to as "The Twins", they are 2 different birds. And we prefer it that way!

Photobucket

You boys have shown me the meaning of pure joy...watching you grow and explore, learning from the world around you, curious and excited to learn...I am reminded each day, of the happiness you bring into my world. Always, be yourselves. Be true to your heart and your desires...Nurture your kind minds, always help others and pick yourself up when you are faced with challenges. Not a day goes by that I am not proud of you and wan't to scream from from the mountain tops, "Look world...those boys are MINE!!"

Spring forward, Fall back

Relishing in our summer evenings...before the time changes and we are not able to enjoy our sunshine filled evenings!

Our happy boys...we are so lucky to call them our sons!

Utensils

Littlest man will not eat with out a utensil in his little hands. Actually, prefers to have one in each hand...kid likes choices! He can use a fork pretty well and as long as the food will stick to his spoon, he can completely feed himself...(still cannot get over how curly his hair is...I love it!)

So, I have really been having the "I want another baby" feeling going on. Not that I really want another one...really, I am perfectly content, and the old tubes are tied anyways...but, you know the feeling, when your "baby" really isn't a "baby" anymore? And you would do anything to be back at the 6 week old infant stage...well, again, not really, cause that means no sleep, sore boobies and walking delirium, but, just the whole idea of having a new baby. Their sweet little noises, first smiles...all of the little baby milestones...ahhh. I really do love the whole newborn stage.

And then, literally you blink, and your "baby" is now a toddler...............Bittersweet I guess.

Photobucket
By the way Jack Jack...you will always be my baby. And so will you Wade and Brody.

Friday night...I was in our bedroom watching some HGTV house makeover show, Todd was in the family room, Jack was already asleep, and the boys were watching a new pirate movie in their TV room...
Todd comes in and says to me, "Come here, you have got to see them...". So, I, of course ask immediately, "Do I need my camera?" (I mean, heaven forbid I do not document every step of our kids waking hours...) I peek around the corner and see that every pillow, blanket and stuffed animal from their bedroom, has been hauled and placed into their little space. Todd whispers, "Wade did this all by himself. He kept going back and forth!"

Photobucket

They were so proud...and I asked them if they wanted to sleep out there for the night and they both immediately shrieked, "Yes!". When I told them to get their jammies on, brush their teeth and go potty, Wade was already in the bathroom before I was finished giving them the OK! Seriously, the normal nighttime routine takes about 10-15 minutes. Last night, 3 minutes, max. Gotta love a kid on a mission!

Photobucket
(Although they did not end up sleeping in their TV room, memories were made, and that is all that really counts in the end. I wish I had a twin.)

Labor Day Weekend

Another Holiday weekend spent water-logged...

While the Daddy-man cheered on the Noles at the first home game, Momma, Nana and the boys headed off to Blackwater River! Due to TS Issac, the water level was extremely high and extremely swift. I personally prefer the beach or pool over a river, any day of the week. Period. I like to see my feet and what might be swimming beneath me...just saying! I was actually afraid at one point, that one of our boys would be swept away in the current and I would not be able to see them. Dramatic, yes...but, hey, it could have happened!
Photobucket

The boys showed off their Nole pride on Friday for school...and here is Wade, being Wade.

Photobucket

And we spent Monday afternoon, having a blast at Gator's Daddy's house (Colonel Gates' house) for a BBQ and swimming! Wade practiced his skills, Brody showed off on the slide and the diving board and Jack just enjoyed each and every second!
