Easter, Part 2

Easter Sunday was filled with lots of love, family, goodies, yummy foods, Easter egg hunts and opening Easter baskets!!! Nana, Gator, Grammie and Pop's all came over to our home to join in the celebration...

The tired monkeys came down the stairs and discovered what the Easter bunny left them!! Brody was more interested in the blocks that we already HAVE!!! Once he realized that there were treats in the basket, he had a perma-grin. He kept saying, "I want more snack" and " I want more M's(M&M's)" or "That's my boat. That's Mine. MINE!!"Wade was thrilled to get a boat!! He must of said "boat" 80 million times. And the bubbles...ahhh...such an inexpensive gift, but a delight for 19 month olds! He did a once over on each and every item in his basket and decided that he wanted to hold everything all at once. He is quite the hoarder and loves to carry LOTS of stuff, ie. when coloring, he wants to hold all of the crayons; when in the bath, he wants to hold all of the toys...you get the point!!
The Family:And then came the Grandparents!!! They were anxious to show the boys what the Easter bunny left at their houses!!
He left 2 big ol' ducks in Panama City! They (the ducks) came over with Grammie and Pop's in the back of the jeep and even had their seat belts on!!
Then they opened their buckets from Nana and Gator's house...lot's of yummy treats, squirt guns, aqua socks and trucks!"Gator, more please. More please. More. More. MORE!!!!" We discovered that they LOVE rice krispie treats. (Love is an understatement.) Todd also LOVES them too...caught him on numerous occasions sneaking them out of their buckets....Our Easter lunch was very yummmy...ribs, mac-n-cheese, green beans and flaky biscuits! Wade absolutely loved his Daddy's ribs...Daddy was extremely proud...After our lunch, we all headed to the park for the Easter egg hunt and to run off some of the sugar induced energy! (Gator was not able to join us...we missed you Gator!!)
On the hunt!!!!

Easter, Part 1

We started off our Easter weekend celebration by dyeing Easter eggs! Let's just say that Wade was more interested in dumping the dye, Brody tried to get as much dye on him as possible and Campbell just watched in awe, wondering what these crazy boys were doing!!

Brody not wanting to share the stickers with Campbell...Look what Wade did within 2 seconds of us setting down the dye!
You mean I am supposed to dye the egg, not my hand??
See boys, this is how it's done!!
Controlled chaos:

And another bowl bites the dust!!!!
The finished product!!
Larry, Moe and Curly...before the bath, to wash of all of that dye!!
The next afternoon, instead of hitting up a park after school, we decided to head on down to the Destin Harbor...
Wade taking in all of the boats and enjoying the sunshine...
Look at those baby blues...
Boats were pulling in and showing off their catch! Fresh cobia...
Daddy showing the boys a pelican up close:
Life is so good, I can hardly stand it. These little guys bring so much joy into our lives!
The boys before school on Friday, all dressed into spring colors for their Easter party!!

Their absolutely AMAZING teacher Sara!!...aka "SAYA"
Wade preferred to collect as many eggs as possible, then dump them out and go about playing...

While Brody preferred to sample the goodies inside of all of the eggs!! Notice there are no eggs in his bucket??Most of their little class...just missing Madeline!!!
After dinner that night, Todd was outside on the back porch and Wade followed him out and dumped out the dogs water bowl(surprise surprise). The boys thought it was the coolest thing ever and spent a good 30 minutes playing in the water and running through it on their bikes...

I will post pics of Easter Sunday later on this week...Happy, Hippity, Hoppity Spring to ALL!!!

We love being outdoors and spend every second enjoying the sunshine and perfect spring weather!! We run everywhere we go...and Daddy sometimes has to chase us down and scoop us up...We even play on the back porch at nighttime! We enjoy spending time with our cousin Caden....And of course, we spend TONS of time at the park. We go every single day and are on a mission to hit every park in Okaloosa County. I think we have been to 10 so far, and the 3 best happen to be with a mile or two from home!and we are learning about ALL of our body parts.... Check out Brody's face...it looks like he is thinking, "Dude, mom has the camera out. Quit picking your nose...you are embarrassing me..."!We love to show off our bellies....We are getting into everything and exploring our world... All of this playing and exploring makes us hungry!!! Time for snack!

Check out Mommy and Daddy's "snack"! Warmer weather = BBQ!!!

We are going to visit the Easter Bunny this Saturday down at the Harbor. Let's hope the boys take to the Easter Bunny a little better than they did with Santa... We are dying Easter eggs tonight with The Hipsh family, and I can almost certainly guarantee that they will be going to school tomorrow covered in dye!!!
