And we shall call him FANG!!

The boys turned 9 months old last Wednesday! Their check up went great and they are still just as perfect as ever! Here are some new stats:

Wade is crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything. He cannot stay still for one second and cries his little head off when he needs his diaper changed or new clothes put on. He loves to steal toys from his brother and has become quite the Mama's boy. He weighs in at 22 pounds and is 28 3/4 inches long (75th percentiles for both height and weight). Dr. Keefe tested their iron levels and Wade's was a tiny bit low. She recommended that we feed him more red meat based baby foods and increase his intake of oatmeal/grits, etc...Nothing to worry about Daddy calls him snaggle tooth because his 4 little teeth are about all you can see when he smiles his huge grin. He is very curious, attentive and easy going. He loves to try new foods and so far hates anything too cold...like Popsicles or ice cream! (Is he really my child? ha ha) He is our little Freebird...Brody finally cut his first tooth on the day he turned 9 months old. It is not the typical 2 bottom or two top...but rather his eye tooth(canine), aka his fang tooth! Seems odd to me, but Dr. Keefe said it is just fine. He cut his bottom fang tooth this morning...so cute! He weighs in at 21 pounds and 15 ounces and is 29 1/4 inches long (75th percentile for height and 95th for height)! He loves to bang his VERY STRONG legs down on the ground, his crib, on his toys, his brothers head, etc...He still screeches and screams when he is frustrated and has started clasping his hands together and saying "Nye Nyeeeeee" when he wants something. It is hilarious! The more sensitive of the 2, he studies new people for a long time and will melt your heart with his huge grin. He will sit in one place and play by himself for hours. His new favorite "food" is Popsicles...he will roll to you faster than you can count to 3 if you have one in your hand! He is starting to scoot and gets very frustrated when he sees Wade crawling and being independent. He is almost there...anytime now!The boys went on their first real vacation this past weekend! We went to Cedar Key with Nana and LaLa, (formerly known as Ganty Lowie). We had an absolute blast and could not keep the boys out of the water! We even gave them their baths at night in the baby pool with warm water. I thinks the pics say it all.....Going, Going.....

Sun and Sand

The boys have had a great past couple of days...They made a platter for Mommy on Mother's Day...And picked Mommy a flower (and let me take a nap and sleep in...!!)Played in the sand for the first time with their best little girlfriend Campbell
and then found out that sand tastes horrible... and also found out how exhausting the sand can be! What a day! Uncle Jon, Aunt Whitney and Uncle Larry loved the sand too...Swam in their new pool from Grammie and Pops at Nana's house
Wade explored every inch of Nana's house and was fascinated with Gus and Gil on the back porchand helped Daddy grill chicken tonight for dinner!

Grammie and Mimi come to town!

Mimi is up visiting from Palm Harbor. She came up for Caden's 1st birthday party, to celebrate Debbie's birthday and to come and see us and the boys! Soooo...Debbie and Mimi drove over on Tuesday and just left this morning! We all had a blast and they thoroughly enjoyed bonding with the boys. Grammie taught them to clap their hands and play patty-cake! Brody gets this huge grin the entire time he his clapping and is so proud of himself. Wade is full on crawling everywhere and is appearing around furniture and corners...and has started pulling up on everything around him. He even has started "walking and taking real steps" while you hold his little hands. He is a mover. Oh boy is all I can say about that.

Mimi and Debbie not only watched the boys the entire day on Wednesday, but they did all of our laundry, ironed, vacuumed, stocked our frig, stocked the babies shelf, bought 2 cans of formula, diapers, bottle liners, laundry detergent...........wasn't that sooo sweet???? It brought tears to my eyes, as I am so grateful for the kindness!

Sooooo, Brody did not want to go to sleep last night. At all. I think he knew that Grammie and Mimi were here and he didn't want to miss anything! After 2 hours of cuddling and rocking and playing, Grammie finally brought him into bed with her and Mimi around 9:30 (he is always asleep NO LATER than 7:30...who knows what he was thinking!!) and they patted him and gave him another bottle and he finally went down. Gotta love Grandmothers!

Summer is officially here. We went over to the Laird's house on Sunday for a good old Crawfish boil. Yes, we were very classy...had the lawn chairs and coolers and trucks playing music, all out in the front yard! Everybody had a blast, including Brody and Wade.

We set up a couple of blankets in the grass and all of the babies played...and Lynnette took pics!

B-man was enjoying all of the activity so much that he exhausted himself and took a nap on my chest. I will have to say that there is no better feeling than your child asleep in your arms. Very comforting!

As promised...here are the pics from Labeth's camera, that I NEVER thought I would see!! These were taken at Easter when the boys received their Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny in Panama City Beach (Grammie and Pop's)! He even left them a giraffe pool for outside!

Cousin Caden turns 1

We celebrated Caden's 1st birthday on Saturday at a park in Tallahassee. There were tons of kids and we had a ball! Grammie, Pops, Mimi, Grandmother, Marilyn and Andy (and us) all drove "up" and "over" to be with Caden on his big day! It was great to see everybody and I wish that we all lived closer!
