While Mommy's away...the boys will play!!

I spent the weekend in Pensacola for Maggie and Doug's wedding and Todd got to spend the entire weekend home with the boys!! I accidentally took the car seats with me...so he was not able to leave the house, so they really bonded! oops. I felt horrible, but the weekend flew by and I was able to return, with the car seats, early Sunday morning!! I called Todd on Saturday morning, and he said, "I have to go, I am gonna mow the lawn, wash the dogs and I am cleaning up the house and doing laundry...". Needless to say, I was speechless! What an amazing husband and Daddy the boys and I have! They finally got to meet one of my best friends, Kelly! She was here for the weekend from New Hampshire, pregnant with her 2nd baby... Wade decided to take his first steps, while holding on to a toy that moves, as soon as his Mommy was out the door. He wanted to show his Daddy what a big boy he is!! Todd got the whole thing on video on his phone and sent it to me on my phone...thank God! What did we do before cell phones?? Brody is actually trying to crawl on his knees, instead of doing his personalized army crawl. Personally, I think he will skip crawling and just start walking...he is pulling up on toys and furniture. Only time will tell though, because as soon as we have them figured out, BAM, they throw us for a loop!! Ahhh, the joys of having children!

We are looking forward to a weekend in Panama City Beach with Grammie, Pop's, Aunt Allie, Uncle Scott and Cousin Caden for the 4th of July! Nana might even come over for the day to help us celebrate! We are incredibly fortunate to have our parents so close by...Seriously do not know what we would have done without them!!

Keeping the boys groomed is a daily task in itself. 2 diaper changes all day long, 2 struggling to get the boys dressed, 2 trying to get them undressed, 2 trying to clean them after snacks and meals, 2 baths, 2 jammies, constant nail clippings...you can imagine!!

Look how hard it is to keep the squigglers in my lap while cutting their nails....I think they think it's a game to see who can get away from Mommy the quickest!

And finally, here are a few pics from the absolutely gorgeous beach wedding! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Dasinger!

Happy Father's Day!

We ended this weekend doing absolutely NOTHING...you heard me right. Nothing. That's what Todd wanted to do for "da da" day, so nothing we did! We did not even leave the house. Todd and I made breakfast for dinner and went to bed very early. Todd was gone for 6 days at the College World Series in Omaha, so it was just me and the kiddos! Boy was I happy to see him! :) They truly love their Daddy...

The boys are now on pretty much all table food! Tonight for dinner, they had chicken, carrots, mac-n-cheese and goldfish. They loved every bite! We have discovered that Wade hates fruit. I will have to keep trying and trying...They are both mimicking everything we do, i.e. I clap my hands, they clap their hands; I click two balls together, they copy me back! What a wonderful and amazing experience to watch 2 little babies grow up, right before our eyes! Wade is letting go of furniture and taking steps, only to do face plants...still a while to go before he learns to balance himself! Brody is really into gagging himself. It is a strange habit that I hope stops soon! He is probably the happiest and most smiley baby I have ever known...they are both all ours, which is the best thing in the whole world!

Of course, here are pics from the end of last week and this weekend...
Brody's new favorite spot in the house:

Check out our teeth! We each have 6 of them...4 on top and 2 on the bottom!

They also love to check out each others teeth...

B-mans new "O" face...He does it all of the time!

and here is the Wade

It was SO hot on Saturday (heat index was at 110 degrees!!), that while we were visiting with Nana, we decided to blow up her kiddie pool and let the boys go at it! It cooled them down so much, we even got in with them. You seriously have NO idea how hot it has been....

Here are pics of me and Todd, when we were the same age as the boys...or at least close to it. Look how much they resemble us! (I just took a pic of a pic, because the scanner is at the office...)

I know I just updated...

I know I just updated, but Todd bought me a new camera (a real "fancy smancy" 12 mega pixel camera...and all I know how to do so far is point and shoot...gotta read the manual!) and I have had so much fun with it that I have been taking tons of pictures....so, here they are! Enjoy!

Haven't posted pics of our other boys in a while. Here is Miller
and here is Buckley B-man, of course hamming it up as soon as I break out the cameraIt has been so hot, that I decided to put the boys down for their afternoon nap in just their diapers...I think they loved it!

Holy cow...we are 10 months old!!

Wade and Brody turned 10 months old this past Saturday! I honestly cannot believe how fast time has flown by, well, except for those first 3 months of no sleep..ha ha! We have little boys on our hands as the "babyness" is slowly fading away. It's a bittersweet feeling I guess. We spent this Saturday celebrating Reagen Reiker's 1st birthday and stayed the night at Nana's house!

Wade is into everything. EVERYTHING!!! He has perfected his crawling and is now scaling furniture, cabinets, people, animals, stairs, walls, etc... He is still our little professor and studies all of his toys and really watches your mouth when you talk or sing. When i read to him, he watches my mouth and occasionally looks back at the books. He is VERY clingy these days and wants nothing more than to be in my arms. He gives the best hugs on the planet and loves to be cuddled.

Brody is definitely very vocal! He still loves to squeal and scream and giggle...all of the time! You know when B-man is in the house. He has started waving bye bye and I think he said ball the other day. He started out as a very picky eater, but will now eat almost anything you give him. He loves all fruits and still thinks Popsicles are the best thing in the world. He has his own little army crawl, where he uses one leg to push and drags the other one for some reason...but he gets to where he is going in a hurry!
Look at all of his new teeth. They all came in at once!

We have been introducing lots of fresh fruits and I am going to introduce fresh veggies this week. Wade still won't eat the majority fresh fruits (texture issues), but some of Brody's favs are Mandarin oranges, bananas, raspberries, strawberries, watermelon and peaches, to name a few. They, of course, prefer homemade mac-n-cheese to the boxed stuff. Of course they do. Can't make it easy on their Mama and Dada...they want the good stuff!! We have also introduced chicken, bread, potatoes and try to give them tastes of what we are eating. Wade tends to like meat and B-man leans more towards the fruits. It changes monthly....They are drinking lots of water out of sippy cups, but prefer to play with them more than they drink out of them!

Their vocabulary consists of Da Da, Ma Ma, Ba Ba, Na Na, La La, and tons of giggles and screams. Brody has started pointing a lot and they still love to clap their hands. Wade is still obsessed with his ears and is always playing with them. They are also very intrigued by our teeth, trying to reach in our mouths and touch them. Wade always has his tongue hanging out and Brody is ALWAYS smiling. We are so very blessed and are so in love with our little munchkins....

Hanging at the office with Daddy...Fun at Nana's

Wade waving to B, well not really, but it looks like it!!I seeeee you!!
